Web Summit 2019 Concludes in Lisbon — 50+ EHOPE Linguists on Duty

The annual Web Summit took place in Lisbon, Portugal on November 4–7, 2019. Over 70,000 participants from more than 160 countries and regions — including 1,800 startups, 1,500 investors and 2,000 journalists — spent three days showcasing the latest Internet technology R&D and applications, and debating its future together.
Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and other dignitaries attended, alongside executives from Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Huawei, Lenovo and other leading companies, who delivered keynote speeches. Across more than 20 sub-forums, some 1,200 speakers addressed topics including artificial intelligence, data protection, the digital economy, autonomous driving and climate change, while over 2,000 companies showcased innovations and sought partners.

As one of the summit's official language service partners, EHOPE International Translation has served Web Summit for three consecutive years — covering escort interpreting, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, and translation. For this edition we dispatched 50+ high-caliber linguists, earning unanimous praise from organizers and attendees for professional service and efficient, high-quality interpreting.
EHOPE will continue to support technology exchange between nations, promoting win-win cooperation and contributing to the international community.
