2020: EHOPE Powers Remote Simultaneous Interpreting

With the sudden arrival of COVID-19, staying home became the norm for most people in early 2020. As the Spring Festival holiday ended, many organizations encouraged employees to work from home — working online became the measure for extraordinary times. EHOPE International Translation launched remote simultaneous interpreting at the first opportunity, opening a window through the pandemic.

On March 15, 2020, a central state-owned enterprise held an online technical exchange for its engineering project at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. EHOPE International Translation provided real-time online three-way interpreting among English, Turkish and Chinese throughout the event.
Remote simultaneous and online conference interpreting have since become an integral part of EHOPE's conference interpreting services, complementing on-site SI.
