The 2019 China Marine Economy Expo Lands in Shenzhen — EHOPE Provides Language Services

The marine economy is growing rapidly worldwide and has become a new engine for economic growth, industrial upgrading and technological innovation. As the world's second-largest economy, China long ago elevated the oceans to national-strategy height, and its marine economy is advancing to a higher level.

From October 14 to 17, 2019, the 2019 China Marine Economy Expo — co-hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and organized by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government — took place in Shenzhen.

Under the theme "Blue Opportunities, Shared Future", the expo — known as China's premier marine exhibition — featured three exhibition zones: marine resource development and ocean engineering equipment, ships and port shipping, and emerging marine industries, showcasing the latest technologies and core equipment from China and worldwide. More than 450 companies and institutions from home and abroad exhibited, focusing on modern port construction, marine high-tech and equipment manufacturing, marine renewable energy, and seawater desalination and comprehensive utilization.

High-end equipment made a striking appearance: the "Blue Whale 1" drilling platform, the "Jiaolong" manned submersible, the "Haiyang-2" satellite and the "Tianjing" self-propelled cutter-suction dredger. Industry leaders including CNOOC, PetroChina, Sinopec, CIMC, China Merchants Heavy Industry and Huawei gathered, while delegations from eight countries including Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina presented Belt-and-Road flavor.
